improvised comedy workshop: “welcome tot he world of improv” march 18

 

Monday march 18 we will do a very nice workshop: advanced improvisers help newbees to take their first stept into the world of improvised comedy. We will do real nice games and exercises that take a look at the basics of improv. How does a story work? How nice is good teamwork. How do we embrace ideas and suggestions?

 

A real nice way to get to know the basics! We will have lots of fun and leave the building being better improvisers. Curious? Come along and find out! We will always provide a safe and warm atmosphere for everybody! We will be in the Polanentheater, half an hour before start of the workshop, so we can meet up and have a drink in the foyer.

   workshop: “equipment replaces words” dec 9

Using an axe. A saw. A pair of scissors. Pliers. Cutlery. What a great trick!

We tend to start scenes with lots of talking. But how about beginning a story by just showing an activity?
What we are doing. The way we are doing that. This tells so much about the relation and opinions about the characters in the scene. Due to a request of one of our students we will take a closer look at this topic.

So come along and find out! As always the workshop will be suitable for newbees as well as advanced improvisers, because everybody will be coached on his or her own level! We will always provide a safe and warm atmosphere for everybody! We will be in the Polanentheater, where we will meet up in the foyer.

You can have a dinner (vegetarian if you wish) before the workshop for very reasonable prices; it is smart to order beforehand. Before and after the workshop you can have a drink in the foyer. The address is Polanenstraat 174, Amsterdam.
